Program airs TONIGHT

The first, monthly Voices of Michigan Education show will air tonight at 9 p.m on News Talk 760 WJR. See sidebar, “Voices of Education Show Times”, for other News Talk affiliate airings. Once the MP3s of all the shows are available, they can be found on the blog for download.

Program debuts Tuesday; airs statewide Saturday

The MEA-sponsored monthly radio show called Voices of Michigan Education debuts Tuesday on News Talk 760 WJR. The show will air at 9 p.m.

It will air again on Saturday, Jan. 17 on the following stations:

From noon to 1 p.m.: 1450 AM WKLA (Ludington); 830 AM WMMI (Mount Pleasant); 1250 AM WNEM (Saginaw); 1110 AM WJML (Petoskey); 1210 AM WJNL (Traverse City); 1490 AM WODJ (Muskegon); and 1220 AM WBCH (Hastings).

From 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: 1240 AM WJIM (Lansing).

Meet the host of Voices of Michigan Education – Mark Gilman

Mark GilmanMark Gilman is host of the Voices of Michigan Education.

Gilman began his career as a radio and newspaper reporter, stringing for CBS, ABC, CNN and Mutual Radio, and eventually managed talk radio stations across the country and hosted daily shows in Washington, D.C., Boston, Austin, Detroit, Houston, Baltimore, Tucson and Albuquerque. He served as Capitol Hill bureau chief and Pentagon correspondent, and has appeared on CNN, Fox, Fox Family Channel, and CBS’ 60 Minutes.

Gilman is president of Decus Communications, a strategic marketing and communications company, with offices in Clarkston, Mich., and Charlotte, N.C.
